We are a small family-run Village Shop & Tea Room serving freshly baked cakes, Traditional Exmoor Cream Teas, Light Lunches and great coffee - all in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Nestled in the Exmoor National Park, Allerford is a postcard-perfect village full of charm, history and countryside walks. Just a few steps from the tea room, you’ll find the iconic medieval Packhorse Bridge, a popular Exmoor landmark perfect for a photo stop. Close by you will see the working forge home to West Country Blacksmiths and the fascinating West Country Life Museum, where you can explore the area’s farming and village heritage.

Whether you’re wandering along the river, spotting wildlife, browsing the museum or stretching your legs on the South West Coast Path, Allerford is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures - ideally finished with tea and cake.

Not Just a Tea Room

We love to be a part of village life, and we love nothing more than bringing people together. We regularly host our Community Coffee mornings and enjoy organising events such as work shops, seasonal events and food nights. Theres always something brewing beyond the teapot!
