Nestled in the picturesque village of Allerford, near Minehead, Allerford Tea Room & Gardens is a family-run, award-winning tea room in the heart of Exmoor National Park.
Surrounded by the charm of an old Somerset village, with its thatched cottages, historic packhorse bridge and the gentle pace of village life, our tea room is a a place to slow down, relax and enjoy good, honest homemade food.
From freshly baked cakes and homemade cream teas, to hearty lunches and freshly brewed coffee, there’s something for everyone. Muddy boots, little explorers and four-legged friends are all very welcome.

There’s nothing quite like a proper cream tea in the countryside.
Our scones are freshly baked in house, our cakes are made with care, and our menu offers everything from a light bite to a proper lunch. Whether you’re stopping for morning coffee, meeting friends or treating yourself to a traditional afternoon tea, our menu is full of comforting favourites.

Exmoor is best explores with a four-legged friend, and dogs are very much part of the family here.
With a dedicated dog menu, fresh drinking water and plenty of fuss, your canine companions can enjoy their visit just as much as you can, both indoors and outside.

Step outside our door and discover one of Exmoor’s prettiest villages.
From the ancient Allerford Packhorse Bridge and traditional working forge to the West Somerset Rural Life Museum, there’s plenty of history tucked away amongst the cottages and winding lanes.
Our self-guided village walks are a lovely way to explore the surrounding countryside, with peaceful woodland paths and beautiful Exmoor scenery.

Not Just a Tea Room
We love to be a part of village life, and we love nothing more than bringing people together. We regularly host our Community Coffee mornings and enjoy organising events such as work shops, seasonal events and food nights. Theres always something brewing beyond the teapot!
